HRM Contracting & Consulting is partnering with our client to recruit a Corporate Management Accountant - a hands-on, strategic finance professional ready to make an impact across a diverse, multi-entity business spanning Australia and Papua New Guinea.

This role is perfect for a detail-driven accountant who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys partnering with operations to deliver meaningful financial insight and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Month-end processes:Complete balance sheet reconciliations across 3 Australian entities and 2 PNG entities
  • Statutory compliance: Manage GST, PAYG, Workers Compensation and Payroll Tax reporting
  • Strategic planning & forecasting: Build and monitor budgets, analyse variances and report on key trends
  • Financial reporting: Prepare monthly management reports and financial statements
  • Performance analysis: Track and interpret KPIs across business units
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Partner with operations and sales to align financial goals with business plans
  • Systems & process improvement: Maintain data integrity, streamline reporting, and drive automation
  • Ad-hoc projects: Support business growth initiatives and process enhancements
  • Multi-tasking: Adapt to shifting priorities and contribute beyond core accounting duties

Essential Requirements

  • CA or CPA qualification (mandatory)
  • Minimum 5 years' corporate finance experience
  • Strong technical accounting skills across multiple jurisdictions
  • Proven experience in statutory reporting and compliance
  • Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently
  • Flexible, collaborative and proactive approach
