About the Opportunity
As part of a company-wide strategic transformation, with focus on continued future success, this is an exciting opportunity to join a greenfield procurement function working for an inspiring procurement head who is an absolute subject matter expert in the industry.
Reporting to the Group Manager you will be responsible for the development and delivery of procurement category strategies across direct spend categories for raw materials including cement, chemicals, sand and aggregates as well as pallets, wrapping and packaging. This is an end-to-end, source-to-contract role: as such you will be evaluate the supplier landscape, review spend analysis whilst leading sourcing activities and tenders through to contract award. This position will be key to maximizing value from supplier relationships, achieving cost savings and supporting the broader procurement strategy.
In short, you will work with internal stakeholders across the group to deliver operational, commercial and compliance objectives whilst ensuring that price, risk, quality and ESG considerations are optimized.
Is this You?
You will be an experienced procurement expert with a proven track-record of achievement having managed direct spend categories and raw materials within the construction, building, civil engineering, infrastructure industry or similar. You will be adept at spend analysis and leading strategic sourcing activities for industrial spend categories that lead to optimal pricing agreements without compromise to product quality, supply risk or environmental considerations. You will likely have an established network of suppliers across the manufacturing, building materials and construction sector.
