About the role

The Procurement Category Specialist is responsible for the delivery of value through development and implementation of procurement category strategies, with a focus on business partnering and driving end to end, Source to Contract procurement projects across the group.

We are looking for a Procurement Category Specialist to drive the creation and implementation of key strategic procurement initiatives across the Estia Health business.

Please Note: This is a 12-month fixed term contract, with the potential for permanency subject to business needs. You'll enjoy a hybrid work arrangement, spending three days a week in the office.

Key Accountabilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for procurement enquiries, supporting and training end users on Estia Health's systems (ARM & Coupa).
  • Source, evaluate, and manage suppliers, running end-to-end RFx (tender) processes, negotiating contracts, and securing favourable terms.
  • Partner with stakeholders to manage budgets, control costs, monitor supplier performance, and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Assess and mitigate procurement risks while ensuring compliance with policies, regulations, and best practices.
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships and analyse supplier markets to support strategic procurement planning.

About you

Experience and Skills

  • 3–5 years' experience in procurement (Procurement Officer or Category Specialist level).
  • Background in aged care, medical services, or a similar commercial environment.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Sound knowledge of procurement processes, regulations, and best practices.
  • Experience using Coupa, ARM, or similar procurement systems.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong financial acumen, commercial awareness, and customer focus.
  • Analytical thinker with the ability to interpret data and assess supplier performance.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder relationship management.
  • Problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and strong organisational skills to manage competing priorities.

Desirable

  • Tertiary qualifications in procurement, purchasing, business, supply chain, or logistics.
