An exciting opportunity exists for a technically strong Senior Financial Accountant to join a high-performing finance team on a six-month fixed-term contract. This role is ideal for a driven professional who thrives in complex environments and enjoys owning key financial processes with impact across the business.
Your new role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will take ownership of the revenue cycle, ensuring compliance with IFRS and managing associated balance sheet accounts. You'll also lead the accounting for fixed and intangible assets, including capital works in progress, tooling, and maintenance spares.
Key responsibilities include:
- Revenue recognition and oversight of deferred revenue, contract assets, and receivables
- Budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Project governance and costing across tangible and intangible assets
- R&D tax incentive support and development cost management
- Maintenance of fixed asset and intangible asset registers
- Month-end reconciliations and audit preparation
- Process improvement and documentation
What you'll need to succeed
You'll be a qualified accountant (CA/CPA preferred) with strong technical expertise in revenue recognition and asset accounting. You bring:
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems (NetSuite highly regarded)
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Experience in R&D environments and project management
- A proactive mindset and ability to work independently and collaboratively
- High attention to detail and a solutions-focused approach
