We're looking for a dynamic and values-driven Team Leader to guide our Northern Futures program to support people experiencing disadvantage to access meaningful training and employment opportunities.

About the Role

As the Team Leader – Northern Futures, you will:

  • Lead a small, dedicated team delivering person-centred support to job seekers in Geelong's northern suburbs.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with local industry, training providers, and community stakeholders.
  • Oversee program operations, compliance, and reporting in line with funding and strategic priorities.
  • Advocate for participant voice and drive community engagement to increase local employment participation.

This role sits within Meli's People and Capability Directorate and plays a key role in aligning the Northern Futures program with broader organisational goals.

What We're Looking For

We value leaders who are collaborative, strategic, and committed to inclusion. To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • A tertiary qualification in Education, Social Work, Human Services or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams in complex service delivery environments.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and established links within the Geelong community.
  • Proven ability to manage program operations, compliance, and reporting.
  • A commitment to child safety, cultural safety, and inclusive practice.
