Description:

The candidate will report to the Account Manager to develop and design licensed apparel/sleepwear/underwear/accessory ranges across different categories, including mens, ladies and kids. You must possess the ability to drive fashion forward yet commercial trends, designs, and be driven, motivated, with the ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic team environment.  The designer role focuses very much graphic design (much less on fashion design) and would suit a candidate with a strong graphics background in an apparel setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Researching key trends, shapes, colour palettes to create mood boards that direct each season.
  • Designing storyboards of product in Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Graphic design including creating yardage and placement prints.
  • Liaising with production assistants and garment technicians on executing designs.

Key Skills and attributes:

  • Strong graphic design skills in Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Tertiary Education in Fashion Design or Graphic Design.
  • Previous experience as a Graphic Designer in Apparel/Sleepwear and/or licensed apparel preferable.
  • The ability to design creatively within licensor brands requirements.
  • A knowledge of garment manufacture, fabrications and print types.
  • The ability to work in a fast paced dynamic team atmosphere.
  • Must be self motivated, organised and have a positive attitude.
