Capability Life Cycle Manager (CLCM)

The CLCM is integrated into the System Program Office (SPO) and contracted to deliver through-life asset management of Products being supported (PBS). The CLCM performs asset, sustainment, and engineering functions to optimise availability and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and minimise risk through life of the PBS. The CLCM works collaboratively via the SPO with Regional Maintenance Centre's (RMC) to plan maintenance activities and installation of capability upgrades. The CLCM works collaboratively via the SPO with the Design Services Contract (DSC) to plan and execute engineering changes and services. The CLCM delivers functions against the contract scope across the Asset Class Enterprise to support Defence Maritime Capability.

The Opportunity:

KBR is seeking an Asset Optimisation Manager to plan, oversee, and lead the ACS CLCM Asset Optimisation team to ensure delivery of Asset Management Services across the CLCM.

As a key member of the Asset Sustainment Leadership Team, you will interact with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders where you will drive cultural leadership and provide education to staff in asset management principles and asset management stewardship.

As the Asset Optimsation Manager, you will contribute to the development, implementation, and improvement of a robust Asset Management System by providing professional advice and technical recommendations as an SME to the ACE.

This role is based out of Garden Island, Sydney.

Responsibilities:

The key responsibilities of the role will include, but is not limited to:

  • Implement and maintain currency of the Asset Management Plan and procedures for delivery of integrated asset management activities in accordance with the CLCM contract.
  • Deliver and maintain the integrated Asset Management Services Master Schedule
  • Direct the Reliability program, Maintenance Requirements Determination (MRD) program and Maintenance Effectiveness program within the ACS ACE LSA program and environment.
  • Contribute to the maintenance and improvement of the ACS ACE LSA environment.
  • Direct and oversee the development of Life Cycle Cost analyses, asset optimization studies and recommendations for cost reduction whilst maintaining agreed levels of platform reliability and availability.
  • Build and facilitate collaborative working relationships with all staff and stakeholders within the ACE in pursuit of an integrated approach to asset sustainment activities.
  • Drive Enterprise risk management and assurance activities across the Enterprise.
  • Drive Capability Innovation and Efficiency initiatives and Sustainment Performance Analysis across the Enterprise.
  • Ensure appropriate resources are available to conduct the activities to deliver the outcomes required in the CLCM contract.

As the ideal candidate you will bring:

Essential:

  • Degree, or equivalent, qualification in a recognised related discipline.
  • Requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in project management within the Defence domain, and Asset Optimisation across maritime sustainment organisations including ILS and LSA optimisation
  • Requires a minimum of 5 years of experience with DSwMS Framework, Administration, and Technical Integrity of Maritime Materiel.
  • Contract and Risk Management.
  • Financial Control.
  • Leadership of a multi-discipline team

Desirable:

  • Higher-level tertiary qualifications.
  • Change management experience.

All candidates will be required to hold and maintain an active Baseline Defence Security Clearance. Only candidates holding a Baseline Clearance or above should apply.
