About The Team
The Campus Development Department provides the highest quality asset and facility management services to support the teaching, research and commercial activities of Murdoch University.
Campus Development delivers a range of services and advice to the University, including new building projects, refurbishments, Facility management, asset and maintenance, infrastructure planning and campus master planning.
Your New Role
To ensure that Reactive Work is undertaken in an efficient and effective manner in accordance with university policy and procedure whilst achieving safety compliance and client satisfaction.
This position is accountable for ensuring the following services and operations are effectively
planned, purposefully delivered, efficiently operated and aligned to meet the University's
strategic needs and objectives:
Murdoch Campus Mandurah/Rockingham
- General building operations and maintenance operations
- Relocation of furniture, equipment and staff
- Management of MU contractors on Campus
- Effectively maintain relevant documents, databases and records
- Liaise with Campus Operations on the management of campus security, grounds and cleaning contractors
Your Key responsibilities will include -
- Liaise with customers to identify needs and agree on the scope of works to be undertaken, ensure stakeholders are aware of any impacts
- Establish realistic timeframes for completion of jobs and provide feedback to the stakeholder on the progress of the job and matters that may impact on the completion of the job
- Ensure works are completed within budget
- Supervise contracts as needed, to ensure works are completed to required standard
- Complete all administration, recording and reporting associate with work undertaken.

This Continuous, Full Time attracts a remuneration of $70,494 - $77,281 plus 17% employer superannuation contributions.

Selection Criteria:
- Relevant experience in facilities management or related environment
- Possession of a 'C' class vehicle drivers' licence
- Basic maintenance and technical abilities
- Ability to successfully work independently with minimal supervision
- Demonstrated problem solving skills including the ability to work with limited resources
