About The Role
This is an
Ongoing
full-time position in Sunshine (Inner West Vic), the role will be supporting the efficient delivery of routine roadside maintenance services across the Melbourne metropolitan area under the VRMC contracts. The position contributes to operational performance by assisting with the planning, coordination and monitoring of maintenance activities while supporting continuous improvement and value-for-money outcomes. The Roadside Officer will also work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders to address emerging issues, maintain compliance and ensure that programmed roadside works such as mowing, furniture spraying and noxious weed control are completed to the required standards.

Position Accountabilities

• Assist in the delivery of routine roadside maintenance programs by supporting planning, scheduling, and coordination activities to ensure works are completed in a timely and efficient manner
• Contribute to the preparation and review of work programs and documentation in accordance with established policies, procedures, and quality standards
• Support the monitoring of contractor performance, including the collection of data and site observations to ensure compliance with contractual, safety, and environmental requirements
• Liaise with internal colleagues and external stakeholders (e.g., contractors, local councils) to assist in resolving issues and maintaining effective working relationships
• Participate in the identification and reporting of operational issues or opportunities for improvement, supporting initiatives that enhance service delivery and safety outcomes
