The opportunity
Buon Appetit' is seeking an experienced and talented Chef de Partie to join our dynamic kitchen team at our restaurant in Camden, NSW. As Chef de Partie, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our customers.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes to the highest standard, ensuring consistent quality and presentation
- Assist the Head Chef in menu planning and development
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised kitchen environment
- Mentor and train junior kitchen staff, imparting your culinary expertise
- Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are strictly adhered to
- Collaborate with the wider team to deliver an exceptional dining experience for our customers
What we're looking for
- Minimum 2-3 years' experience as a Chef de Partie or equivalent role in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- Formal culinary training or qualifications, such as a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
- Australian qualifications are required; overseas qualifications will not be accepted as equivalent to Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
- Excellent knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques and menu development
- Strong time management and organisational skills to work efficiently under pressure
- Passion for using fresh, seasonal ingredients to create delicious, visually appealing dishes
- Positive attitude, strong teamwork skills and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service
