A rare opportunity exists to join a well-regarded urban planning consultancy based in Sydney. They have a strong client base with a variety of ongoing exciting projects largely across the local government space. The organisation are looking for a progressive and self-motivated town planner to join the team on a 6-month contract basis.
Your new role
As an experienced town planner within this well-recognised business, you will undertake a wide variety of challenging and varied projects across the Sydney metro area while striving to deliver superior outcomes. Tasks will include but not be limited to:
- Statutory advisory and planning approvals, feasibility assessments and property portfolio reviews
- Strategic Planning, Rezoning and Preparing Statements of Environmental Effects of a significant scale
- Stakeholder management including liaison with councils, developers, and state government agencies.
What you'll need to succeed
You must have a relevant tertiary qualification in town or urban planning as well as relevant NSW local government experience working as a statutory planner. This includes at least 2 years in a planning position.
