We currently have an opportunity for a Commercial Manager to support the delivery of a major Defence capability within the Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group to oversee high-value acquisition contracts ensuring performance, compliance, and strategic alignment with project goals.

Downer Professional Services is comprised of two business units, our Technical, Advisory, and Capability consulting practice and Team Downer, a major service partner to Defence. Together, we are a multi-disciplinary advisory and delivery partner of choice for our clients in Defence and National Security.

What You'll Do
This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:
- Lead the development and execution of Contract Management Plans, tools, and processes.
- Monitor contractor performance and ensure timely delivery of contract obligations.
- Coordinate Commonwealth representation in key contract meetings and reviews.
- Manage contract deliverables, milestone certifications, and change proposals.
- Support resolution of contractual issues, claims, and disputes.
What You'll Bring
- Lead the development and execution of Contract Management Plans, tools, and processes.
- Monitor contractor performance and ensure timely delivery of contract obligations.
- Coordinate Commonwealth representation in key contract meetings and reviews.
- Manage contract deliverables, milestone certifications, and change proposals.
- Support resolution of contractual issues, claims, and disputes.
- Currently hold and maintain a minimum Negative Vetting 1 or higher Security clearance as required by the Commonwealth.
- In some instances, compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements may be an inherent requirement.
