The Role:
This is a growth role for our Firm. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Lawyer with 2-6 years PQE to join our dynamic property team. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience in property law and proficiency with PEXA, ideally gained in a top or mid-tier law firm environment.
You will be working on:
- Securing sites for our developer clients (contracts and options)
- Drafting sales contracts
- Sale, acquisition and management of accommodation hotels, commercial and industrial properties
- Commercial and industrial leasing (both of completed properties and those under development)
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with commercial property transactions from start to finish – with supervision as needed.
- Preparing and reviewing contracts, option deeds, leases, and other legal documents.
- Managing settlements through PEXA, ensuring all transactions are completed accurately and efficiently.
- Liaising with stamping agents for Office of State Revenue requirements.
- Working across the team in a collaborative way.
- Liaising with clients, agents, banks, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth transactions.
About you:
- 2-6 years of post-qualification experience as a lawyer.
- Proven experience in property law, with a solid understanding of property transactions.
- Proficiency with the PEXA platform is essential.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to pass knowledge to junior team members.
