Sport and Recreation supports and encourages participation and success in sport and active recreation through delivery of:

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Project Leadership: Oversee the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of infrastructure projects with a person-centred approach.
  • Project Management: Apply construction project management methodologies to deliver quality outcomes on time and within budget, while managing risks and ensuring compliance with building codes and universal design principles.
  • Scope and Planning: Develop and implement project scopes, plans, and performance criteria for infrastructure projects of varying complexity.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a subject matter expert, leading multidisciplinary teams and working with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues and deliver priority projects.
  • Relationship Building: Foster effective, collaborative relationships to leverage resources and expertise.
  • Governance: Contribute to flexible governance mechanisms to support projects of different sizes and complexities.
  • Research and Analysis: Conduct systematic research and data analysis to provide evidence-based strategic advice to senior managers.
  • Documentation: Prepare high-quality reports, briefing notes, plans, and other required documentation.
  • Workplace Culture: Promote a positive, inclusive, and respectful workplace environment.
