Bellevue Gold Limited (ASX:BGL) is a high-grade gold mine in Western Australia. The Bellevue mine has an estimated 10+ year mine life forecast to produce ~150,000 Au ounces in FY26.

Underground mining has occurred since late 2020 to establish multiple mining fronts that de-risks production with exploration potential expected to grow the current high-grade resource.

The Bellevue Gold Mine is located approximately 30km north of Leinster township and sits in a major gold and nickel producing district. The Company has a highly skilled management team with a track record of exploration success and development of major gold mines.

Bellevue Gold has the ambitious goal of net zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions for the Bellevue Gold Project by 2026. This will be underpinned by a sector-leading renewable energy power station, with a forecast 70-80% renewable energy penetration rate.

To optimise safe recovery of the resource through accurate design of stope shapes, drilling plans and blasting plans to deliver the mine production schedule.

Your main duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Working alongside Geology and Geotechnical Team to optimize stope design with respect to maximizing recovery and safety
  • Designing safe work plans for vertical development (stope slotting and raiseboring)
  • Conducting stope long hole drill designs to optimize drilling, and working alongside operators in the execution of drill patterns
  • Identifying suitable areas for waste backfilling underground, and developing plans to implement a safe tipping location
  • Developing and issuing prep and charge plans and conducting QAQC activities
  • Conducting business improvement to optimize the mining cycle
  • Undertaking improvement projects as directed by the Senior Production Engineer
  • Working alongside mine planning team to identify opportunities to improve on execution of the 12wk mining schedule
  • Data collection, management and analysis to identify emerging trends and opportunities for improvement
  • Conduct secondary and primary ventilation surveys as required
  • Daily and weekly mine plan compliance tracking to ensure schedule compliance

Key Skills/Qualifications/Experience:

  • A tertiary degree in Mining Engineering
  • Experience in mechanised UG mining
  • Completed UG practical experience required for WA FCMMCC
  • Deswik competency
  • VentSim competency (preferred)
  • Ventilation, project or infrastructure experience (preferred)
  • Short term scheduling experience (preferred)
  • Ability to work autonomously with well-developed time management skills
  • Good interpersonal communication, literacy, numeracy and presentation skills
  • Outstanding analytical skills and high attention to detail
  • Ability to work to deadlines
