Fleet Controller/Allocator

Arrow Transport is a leader in Australia's Transport and Logistics industry, delivering innovative, reliable, and customer-focused solutions. Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Fleet Controller (AM Shift) for our Chullora Site.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Schedule, coordinate, and monitor movement of the fleet
  • Communicate with drivers and customers
  • Allocate jobs efficiently
  • Ensure safe, cost effective, reliable distribution and collection of freight
  • Support drivers and customers with questions and queries
  • Establish and manage relationships with key customers, suppliers, employees and subcontractors
  • Process driver run sheets including an overview of compliance
  • Proactively check and maintain cut offs and deadlines.
  • Assisting, when required, with the scheduling / allocating of drivers and subcontractors to ensure productivity and operating efficiencies.
  • Complying with all OH&S requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in a Fleet Controller/Allocator position
  • Port Experience (required)
  • High level of attention to detail to ensure accurate data entry
  • Strong problem-solving skills to resolve issues effectively and efficiently
  • Demonstrated ability to organise and plan, meet rigid and conflicting demands and deadlines, along with the ability to adapt to changed priorities.
  • Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to produce clear and accurate communications that are appropriate for their intended audience.
  • Positive and proactive 'can do' attitude.
  • Ability to develop strong relationships within the team.
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
