The Role
We're looking for a strategic and creative Learning & Capability Specialist to bring impactful learning solutions to life. You'll be skilled at translating strategy into actionable plans and embedding learning frameworks across our Supply Chain operations. Your work will empower our people to build the skills, knowledge, and confidence they need to perform their roles safely, effectively, and with pride. In this role, you will:
- Strengthen and enhance technical training frameworks and learner experiences to ensure consistency and effectiveness across all Sanitarium factories.
- Collaborate with leaders and subject matter experts to co-create solutions that solve learning problems
- Lead our Team Leader Capability Framework and collaborate with our operations continuous improvement team to support our leaders run their shift more effectively and productively.
- Drive the optimisation of our new HRIS (Dayforce) to support learning and capability development across the Supply Chain
- Lead the capability development of our site-based trainers by applying adult learning principles to ensure effective knowledge transfer and learner engagement
- Establish and maintain technical training documentation, including user guides, training materials, and quick reference tools.
- Facilitate learning and coach operational SME, HR Business Partners, and Team Leaders to deliver and assess technical training.
- Support capability development initiatives, cultural programs, and transformation projects.
- Ensure quality assurance through ongoing review, measurement, and evaluation of learning programs to drive long-term learner engagement and success.
We're seeking someone with a forward-thinking mindset. Ideally, you'll bring hands-on experience with emerging technologies. Your expertise will help us stay ahead of the curve and deliver learning experiences that are innovative, impactful, and future-ready for our operations teams.
About you:
- Qualifications in learning, training, or human resources. Ideally, Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (completed or currently underway).
- Creative strategic skills in developing learning and capability programs in operational environments.
- Experience designing and developing modern learning materials (e.g., workshops, e-learning, videos, guides), ideally with a focus on food safety and WHS.
- Strong background in instructional design, technical writing, and content development.
- Proven ability to build and manage training frameworks and competency systems in operational/manufacturing settings.
- Experience as a Subject Matter Expert in optimising LMS platforms.
- Strong facilitation and mentoring skills to support others in achieving their learning goals.
- Exceptional problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills, including learning analytics and reporting.
- Ability to influence and build relationships with a range of stakeholders, including senior leaders, to drive cultural change.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with high attention to detail.
- Willingness to travel and work across Sanitarium's factory locations.
- Experience with Dayforce will be advantageous
