The Opportunity

SEE Group has a fantastic career opportunity for a Senior Accounts Officer to join our local highly professional and skilled Accounts Payable and Receivable team. This is a diverse and fast-paced role based in Helensvale, Queensland. Reporting to the Finance Manager you will work alongside another Senior Accounts Officers and an Accounts Officer. You will be responsible for accounts duties including but not limited to:

  • Issuing invoices for multiple entities, reconciling, and processing payments
  • Following up outstanding AR invoices in a timely manner
  • Fostering positive relationships with customers and vendors
  • Completing weekly AP payments from multiple entities
  • Processing invoices, creating purchase orders, and coding these transactions as needed
  • Bank account coding and reconciliation
  • Processing and reconciling company credit card statements
  • Maintaining files and records
  • Working closely with site teams and Project Administration Teams to ensure invoices are processed and paid on time
  • Data entry, administration and support as required

Essential Skills and Attributes

The position is best suited to someone with the following skills and attributes:

  • Previous experience as an Accounts Officer, ideally within a construction environment
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • First class communication skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines with competing priorities
  • Experience with Viewpoint accounting software (ideally) or similar
