
Group Finance Manager

THE OPPORTUNITY
As Finance Manager, you will be responsible for managing and driving the financial operations and strategy, while supporting information technology functions of the company. This role requires a strong background in finance and accounting and a sound understanding of IT systems changes. Additionally, strong analytical skills and reporting capabilities are essential. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of these key areas to support the overall success of the organization.
Key responsibilities will include;
- Ensuring that the business has everyday performance analysis and reporting metrics for sales, margin, inventory and production.
- Manage the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
- Monitor cash flow, manage working capital, and provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
- Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing and compliance with payroll tax regulations and while ensuring accurate payments to employees are made that align with our award obligations.
- Administer employee benefits programs and maintain personnel records in compliance with privacy laws.
- Ensure that all inventory practices are transparent, understood and followed.
- Implement freight contractor management and freight control processes alongside the production manager.
- Provide strong leadership and guidance to the finance team, fostering a positive work environment and promoting teamwork and collaboration.
YOUR BACKGROUND
- Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting. A master's degree is a plus.
- CA/CPA qualified
- Proven experience (5+ years) in finance and accounting in wholesale, manufacturing or a related industry.
- Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles, HR policies and practices, and IT infrastructure management.
- Strong sales, margin, inventory and production metrics reporting capabilities.
- Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and financial reporting.
- Knowledge of payroll laws & Australian awards.
- Familiarity with IT systems and applications, including network infrastructure, hardware, software, and reporting.
