About The Role
We are seeking an experienced and proactive professional to provide subject matter expertise and leadership within our Administration team. In this role, you will supervise and support Administration Officers to ensure collaboration and consistent delivery standards across the Infrastructure and Operations Division.
Acting as a central point of contact, you will provide direct administrative support and strategic advice to the Team Manager on operational, policy, and governance matters. You will play a key role in improving systems, processes, and procedures, while delivering exceptional customer service to a diverse range of stakeholders including internal teams, government departments, council leadership, and the Mayor.
This position involves managing service requests, records, correspondence, reporting, scheduling, and procurement activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with record-keeping standards. Your ability to prepare clear, factual documentation and maintain optimal workflow across multiple work sites will be essential to the success of the administration function.
About You
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Certificate IV in Business or similar competency.
- Substantial experience in an administration role, supporting a multi-disciplinary team.
- Demonstrated expertise in an administrative, financial, legal or analytical discipline.
- Supervisory experience leading an administrative team.
- Experience developing the skills and knowledge of others within a team environment.
- Current "C" class driver's licence.
- Proficiency in council products including but not limited to, ECM/CES/Marvel/Property and Rating (desirable).
- Must be willing to undertake duties in various council work locations and teams throughout the Infrastructure and Operations Division as required.
