About QCCS

With over 25 years in civil & mining construction, QCCS is a trusted contractor delivering large-scale rail, mine site, and civil infrastructure projects across Queensland. Our portfolio includes rail and road construction, earthworks, concrete solutions, and mine site maintenance—both on-site and off-site.

We've secured a long-term contract on a major heavy rail network and multiple mining projects, and we're looking for skilled trades and operators to join our Mackay-based team.

The Roles – We're Hiring Now:

Plant Operators

Operate modern, well-maintained machinery including 5–20t excavators and 5t skid steers for civil, rail, and mine site works.

Essential: Relevant plant tickets (Excavator, Skid Steer).

Bonus: HR licence, other plant experience.

Carpenters

Work on vital infrastructure across rail corridors and mine sites – formwork, timber repairs, platforms, and culvert replacements.

Essential: Carpentry trade qualification.

Concreters

Deliver concrete works for rail and mine site projects – from steel-fixing and formwork to pouring, finishing, and remediation.

Essential: Proven concreting experience or trade qualification.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

  • Category 3 Rail Medical
  • SARC Card (Safely Access the Rail Corridor)
  • RIW Card (Rail Industry Worker)
  • Construction White Card
  • Experience in heavy rail and/or mine site environments
