About the role

S L Hire is seeking experienced Formworker Carpenters to join our team in Townsville, Queensland. This is a casual role, offering the flexibility to work as required to support our construction projects. As a Formworker Carpenter, you will play a crucial part in the successful delivery of our construction work.

What you'll be doing

  • Constructing and assembling timber formwork for concrete structures such as walls, columns, beams and slabs, and edge boards.
  • Ensuring formwork is built to specification and is structurally sound
  • Stripping and dismantling formwork after concrete has cured
  • Maintaining and repairing formwork equipment as needed
  • Working collaboratively with the construction team to meet project deadlines
  • Adhering to all health and safety policies and procedures

What we're looking for

  • Experience as a Formworker Carpenter in the construction industry
  • Strong carpentry skills and the ability to read and interpret construction plans and drawings
  • Knowledge of formwork construction methods, materials and industry standards
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with precision
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to workplace health and safety
