About the role

We are seeking an experienced Concrete Truck Driver to join our team at DPE Civil in Townsville, Queensland. As a driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of concrete to a variety of sites across the region. While experience operating a concrete agitator truck is an advantage, it is not essential as training will be provided.

This is a casual position offering consistent work, generally 38+ hours per week. Applicants must be available to work Monday through Saturday. For the right candidate, there is a clear opportunity to transition into a permanent position.

What you'll be doing

  • Operate a concrete mixer truck in a safe and responsible manner, delivering concrete to various construction sites
  • Perform pre-operation and post-operation checks to ensure the truck is in optimal working condition
  • Liaise with customers, site managers and project teams to coordinate efficient concrete deliveries
  • Maintain accurate delivery records and complete all necessary paperwork
  • Comply with all company policies, safety protocols, and road regulations
  • Support the wider team as required to ensure the successful completion of projects

What we're looking for

  • A current Heavy Rigid (HR) driver's licence
  • Demonstrated safe driving history
  • Ability to work Monday to Saturday
  • Strong knowledge of workplace health and safety procedures and environmental regulations
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • A flexible and adaptable approach to work, with the ability to respond to changing priorities
  • A commitment to quality, safety and environmental best practice
  • Willingness to learn and follow company training and procedures
