MAIN DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work with complex power tools such as jackhammers and power drills when
required.
Read and interpret construction plans and blueprints to determine materials and
dimensions specified for the project.
Measure and mark cutting lines on construction materials using pencil, chalk, and
scriber.
Oversee construction of a building interior to ensure proper installation of windows,
frames, staircases, and doors.
Work and maintaining knowledge of various construction materials among which
include wood, fiberglass, steel, and concrete.
Shaping, cutting, and nailing wood and other materials to fit project specifics.
Take measurements of distances and materials to establish the dimensions/size of a
structure.
Install and assemble structure and fittings.
Cut, shape, and smoothen the surface of materials using power saws and sanders.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations to minimize risk of workplace accident.
SKILLS & EXPEREINCE:
Qualifications: Must have related qualifications in carpentry
White card required
Driver's license required
Experience: At least three years' experience as a Carpenter
Skills: Must have good attention to detail.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge in safety procedures and regulations.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Work safely at heights required
Good communication and presentation skills.
