Hays are proud to be partnering with a well-established developer in the Victorian market. This group has developed a name for creating design-friendly communities with excellent infrastructure. With close to 2000 lots to deliver and a strong pipeline of interesting work, the business is seeking an experienced Development Manager with a background in master-planned communities.

Your new roleAs a Development Manager you will work across numerous developments in Melbourne's key growth corridors. Reporting to the SDM you will be overseeing 3-4 active subdivision projects. Our client is looking for someone with a strong work ethic and who is hungry to establish themselves.

What you'll need to succeed

You will ideally have a strong background in Civil Engineering and Project Management with experience across numerous subdivision projects. Candidates with development management experience from a Design, Construction, Town planning or Surveying background will also be considered.

The requirements and responsibilities of the role are, but not limited to:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Property & Real Estate or related discipline
  • Subdivision experience lots in a Civil Engineering, Project/Development capacity is preferable
  • Engagement and management of consultants and contractors
  • Management of all key stakeholders internal and external including government agencies
  • Experience in project cost variations and other project costs to ensure alignment with budgets
