Your New Role
Reporting to the Director, People Operations & Partnering, the Senior Talent Acquisition Advisor is a pivotal role within Development Victoria's People, Culture & Communications team. This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned talent professional to lead strategic recruitment and contribute meaningfully to workforce planning, talent attraction, retention, and succession initiatives.
This role is more than just end-to-end recruitment—it requires sound judgement, autonomy, and the ability to influence and collaborate across the business. You will work closely with hiring managers, Business Partners, and Organisational Development to shape and deliver inclusive, values-aligned talent strategies that support Development Victoria's growth and purpose.
Core Accountabilities:
- Lead end-to-end recruitment across a diverse portfolio, including senior leadership roles, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities and values.
- Partner with hiring managers to provide strategic advice on role design, sourcing strategies, and candidate experience.
- Contribute to workforce planning and broader talent initiatives, including attraction, retention, and succession planning.
- Champion Development Victoria's employer brand and EVP across all candidate communications and digital channels.
- Use innovative sourcing strategies to attract top talent in a competitive market.
- Promote a positive candidate experience through timely communication and feedback.
- Manage employment contracts and background checks for external candidates, ensuring compliance and a smooth onboarding experience.
- Build trusted relationships across the business and share market insights with the People, Culture & Communications team.
- Maintain accurate recruitment data and support system improvements.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to a collaborative, inclusive, and values-driven team culture.
About You:
You're a confident and strategic talent acquisition professional who thrives in a fast-paced, purpose-led environment. You bring credibility, initiative, and a collaborative mindset, with the ability to work autonomously and influence senior stakeholders.
You'll also have:
- Tertiary qualifications in HR, Organisational Psychology, or a related field (preferred).
- 3–5 years' experience in end-to-end recruitment or talent acquisition, ideally in complex environments.
- Proven experience contributing to strategic workforce initiatives and partnering with senior leaders.
- Strong communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach with high attention to detail.
- Experience with recruitment systems and Microsoft Office tools.
- A passion for inclusive hiring and building a strong employer brand.
