The Role
We are seeking proactive and experienced
Project Delivery Professionals – Civil Infrastructure and Capital works
to join Council's Project Delivery Team. In this role, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of Civil Infrastructure and Capital works projects, including capital upgrades, asset renewals, and actions identified in Council's Public Spaces and Recreation Strategy and Open Space Asset Management Plan.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver open space and recreation projects on time, within budget, and to the highest standard.
- Coordinate the delivery of actions from Council's civil infrastructure, Recreation Strategy and supporting open space projects.
- Manage and oversee contractors to ensure objectives are met, WHS requirements are followed, and milestones are achieved.
- Undertake site inspections, community consultation, and respond to stakeholder feedback.
- Prepare and/or supervise the preparation of detailed design and construction documentation for open space and recreation assets.
- Provide project direction, reporting, and support across multiple initiatives.
Essential Criteria
- Tertiary qualifications in project management, landscape architecture, sport and recreation planning, landscape management, civil projects, or a related field; or significant relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience in delivering public open space projects from inception to completion.
- Strong skills in contractor management and stakeholder engagement.
- Experience undertaking community consultation and responding to community needs.
- Strong computer skills, including CAD, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Suite.
- Current NSW Class C Driver's Licence.
- Commitment to Work Health & Safety principles and training.
Skills & Experience
- Proven track record in end-to-end project delivery, including grant-funded, recurrent, and capital works projects.
- Experience preparing and overseeing detailed design and construction plans.
- Ability to balance competing priorities while managing multiple projects.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage both contractors and community stakeholders.
