Packing Floor General Hand (forklift operator)

Sunshine Sugar's Harwood site is seeking a Packing Floor General Hand to join the team in our refinery. This is a 12-hour shift roster which is a mix of night and day shifts, in a 4 days-on 4 days-off rotation. Competitive renumeration including night shift and weekend penalty rates.

What's involved?

As a Packing Floor General Hand, you'll be responsible for various:

  • Operating refined sugar packaging machinery
  • Despatching palletised product onto trucks
  • Warehousing of palletised goods and packaging materials
  • Maintaining food safety and hygiene standards
  • General cleaning and other duties as directed

We are looking for:

  • Current forklift licence and relevant driving experience (essential)
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Clear communication skills and ability to work as part of a close team
  • Ability to complete paperwork
  • Basic computer skills
  • Strong commitment to safety and positive attitude
  • Proactive self-starter with ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Sufficient physical fitness, sight and hearing
  • Ability to work on 12 hour shift roster which includes weekends

Desirable criteria:

  • Production or process experience
