About the role

Reporting to the Procurement and Planning Manager, the General Hand plays a key role in supporting both physical and administrative tasks across the site. This is a varied and hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in maintaining a clean and organised environment, and can work flexibly across different areas of the business.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Raw material stock control and handling
  • Loading and unloading freight containers and trailers
  • Inspecting incoming goods and rejecting non-compliant stock
  • Preparing raw materials for production (e.g. sleeves, trays, shrinks)
  • Supporting and providing relief for the Storeman and Batching Inventory Controller
  • Participating in stocktakes and ensuring correct stock rotation
  • General yard duties to maintain a clean and safe site
  • Driving Mobicon and delivering goods to Adelaide
  • Packing, palletising and storing finished goods
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and compliance records

About you

You're a hands-on team player with a strong work ethic and a proactive mindset. You take initiative, work safely, and enjoy contributing to a collaborative team environment. Experience in a similar role is desirable, and physical fitness is essential due to the labour-intensive nature of the work.

You will also have/be:

  • Quick to solve problems and take ownership of tasks
  • Committed to safety and maintaining a tidy workspace
  • Positive in your approach and attitude to work
  • Comfortable with flexible and changing work hours
  • Forklift and HR Truck licences (required)
  • Willing to learn and participate in training as required
  • Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in documentation
  • Able to build collaborative relationships across department

Nippy's Moorook facility operates 24 hours a day, six days a week. Flexibility with working hours is essential to support changing operational needs. You must hold a current Forklift licence and HR Truck licence, and be confident operating machinery in a fast-paced environment.
