Upper South Creek Network Project – Supporting Western Sydney's Growth
Be part of a large-scale, long-term joint venture between Seymour Whyte and Jacobs, awarded by Sydney Water as an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Management (EPCM) project. As the region expands, so does the need for sustainable and resilient water solutions. The Upper South Creek Network will feature new wastewater pumping stations and gravity carriers, with the first work stage beginning before the year's end. The main goal of the Quality Coordinator role is to help roll out the CreekConnect QMS. You'll do this by checking in on Delivery Contractors' work through audits, inspections, and site visits to make sure they're following the approved quality processes and procedures.
The Role
- Evaluate and inspect quality systems, processes, and products of Delivery Contractors and Suppliers, including conducting audits and functional inspections.
- Monitor and participate in Hold Point (HP), Witness Point (WP), defect walks, and Acceptance Testing inspections to ensure compliance.
- Review and verify Delivery Contractors' corrective actions for non-conformances, ensuring effectiveness through re-inspections.
- Prepare and present quality performance reports, provide feedback, and collaborate in meetings to resolve quality issues.
- Conduct site visits and coordinate with stakeholders to oversee quality submissions, material inspections, and overall project quality assurance.
About You
The following key selection criteria relate to this position:
- Demonstrated experience as a quality assurance professional for engineering and/or civil construction.
- Working knowledge of client standards and specifications.
- Experience in civil construction and Quality Assurance systems.
- Intermediate computer literacy – (Microsoft Suite).
- Current drivers licence.
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
