About The Role
In this role, you will lead the implementation safety, clinical quality, radiation safety and injury management initiatives in alignment with policy and procedure for the NSW/ACT/WA Business Unit. You will provide quality and Safety advice and support to managers, staff, and doctors across the business, helping to foster a safe and compliant working environment. A key part of your responsibilities will include ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and industry best practice standards through effective communication and supporting clinical site managers through changes, this will include online and in person auditing. Another key aspect of the role is the management of Return-to-Work programs and workers compensation cases, working closely with external injury management consultants, insurers and rehabilitation providers to ensure effective outcomes. You will also support and implement clinical quality and radiation safety initiatives, collaborating with the wider Quality and Safety team subject matter experts and clinic teams to ensure successful adoption and continuous improvement. Additionally, you will maintain strong relationships with the NSW/ACT BU Business Unit management team and external partners, including training vendors, and safety equipment suppliers, and where required WHS regulators to support the delivery of high-quality safety and injury management services as part of the National Quality and Safety team.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive safety culture and compliance across the business unit.
- Provide timely and accurate WHS advice and support.
- Co-ordinate key Safety Meetings and associated consultation processes for the NSW/WA/ACT Business Unit
- Manage injury cases and workers compensation to reduce premium impacts.
- Implement clinical quality and radiation safety improvement projects and support policy and procedural development.
- Incident review and investigation
- Routine Reports to the Business Unit and for Key Hospital Partners in conjunction with Regional Managers
- Support CMITs and Regional Managers to carry out routine audits by coaching team members and offering technical advice.
About You
- Proven experience in safety, clinical quality compliance and/or injury management, ideally within healthcare or a regulated industry.
- Compliance or audit experience would be well regarded
- Experience in applying legislation, compliance frameworks, and best practice principles.
- Experience or exposure to managing workers compensation and Return to Work programs would be beneficial.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to lead change, influence safety culture, and drive continuous improvement.
