The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a
Senior Lawyer
to join a leading university based at
Melbourne
This contract role will see you providing dedicated legal support to the
Research portfolio
, working closely with stakeholders as the team transitions existing matters and responsibilities.

This is a
part-time position (3 days per week)
, with flexibility for a
hybrid arrangement
— typically two days on campus and one day working from home. The engagement is expected to run from
commencing ASAP
, with the possibility of extension.

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience advising on
    research-related legal matters
    , including research and funding agreements, collaboration agreements, and intellectual property.
  • Ability to work
    autonomously
    and manage competing priorities with minimal supervision.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with a collaborative and solutions-focused approach.
  • Availability to
    commence at short notice
    and commit to the duration of the secondment.
