Your part in our UnitingCare team

This role provides a holistic response to the needs of families whose children are at imminent risk of out of home placement or requiring reunification following a period of out of home care.

In this role you'll:

  • Works intensively with families in their homes to address issues relating to, but not limited to, child protection concerns.

  • Provide negotiated combinations of therapeutic interventions, practical and emotional support, counselling and education, families are offered opportunities to make informed decisions and change for their future.

What makes a difference for us?

  • A Tertiary qualification (minimum Bachelor Degree) in a relevant human services field with relevant experience in previous roles, and where relevant registration with a nationally recognised professional body is desirable

  • Demonstrated skills and sound knowledge gained through experience working with children and families

  • Be able to achieve results through personal proficiency and demonstrate high-quality technical or professional work

  • Experience in the area of child protection is preferred

  • Blue Card

  • Current Drivers Licence
