About the role

Do you love connecting people, managing purposeful projects, and creating moments that matter? We're searching for a Community Partnership & Events Partner to guide our Community Partnerships Program and deliver memorable events for our team and partners. You'll combine relationship-building, event delivery, and program leadership to strengthen our community from the inside out.

As our Community Partnerships & Events Partner, you will:

Community Partnerships

  • Drive the Officeworks Community Partnerships Program, managing relationships with national partners and leading initiatives such as national appeals and the Officeworks Meaningful Contributions Program.
  • Coordinate disaster relief appeals when required.
  • Collaborate with Corporate Affairs to develop engaging content that promotes partnerships and community impact.

Events Management

  • Own the planning and delivery of high-profile internal and partner events, including our Internal conferences (Half Yearly Update, Year Beginning Meeting, Officeworks Team Awards), Partner Forum and End-of-year celebrations
  • Define event objectives, formats, budgets, timelines, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Manage end-to-end logistics: venue selection, vendor contracts, catering, AV setup, RSVPs, and seamless experience for all
  • Develop event materials and content such as run sheets, guest lists, and budget trackers.

Program Management

  • Lead multiple projects simultaneously with precision and attention to detail.
  • Ensure all programs and events are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Monitor progress, mitigate risks, and communicate updates to stakeholders effectively.
About you

We are looking for someone that is proactive, with strong project management experience ideally gained through delivering exceptional events or driving community initiatives. You're passionate about creating memorable, impactful experiences that energise our business and strengthen partnerships with our community, utilising your ability to development strong stakeholder relationships to achieve success. In addition, you will have:

  • Strong experience in community partnerships or event management (3 years +) with experience within Retail or a large corporate environment preferred but not essential
  • Strong stakeholder management and negotiating skills with the ability to successfully engage with a large and diverse network of internal stakeholders and external suppliers
  • Demonstrated event management experience in terms of project management, decision-making processes and problem solving.
  • Proven development and implementation of internal and external events.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and conflicting deadlines.
