We're looking for a passionate and driven Business Development Executive – Tourism to lead and deliver a robust destination marketing strategy that attracts both international and domestic visitors to Chadstone – The Fashion Capital.
In this exciting role, you'll build and strengthen partnerships with key tourism stakeholders, including industry bodies, government agencies, international tour operators, and business partners. You'll represent Chadstone at major tourism events and trade shows, positioning it – along with Hotel Chadstone – as Australia's ultimate lifestyle and retail destination.
Please note the below:
- This role is a fixed term contract that will end on 31st August 2026
- The role will commence on the 26th January 2026
Destination Marketing
- Develop and execute a comprehensive Tourism Strategy with clear objectives and measurable outcomes.
- Manage existing tourism programs, including the Tourist Shopping Passport and Shuttle operations.
- Oversee activities and performance of international trade representatives in China and India.
- Identify new opportunities to enhance the tourism offer and visitor experience.
- Work closely with the Marketing team to create tailored marketing materials promoting Chadstone as Australia's leading retail and lifestyle destination.
Relationship Management
- Build and maintain relationships with key government, industry, and tourism partners.
- Represent Chadstone at domestic and international trade shows, events, and conferences.
- Host familiarisation tours to showcase Chadstone and align with Hotel Chadstone to maximise exposure.
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Monitor, assess, and report on tourism initiatives and performance metrics.
- Share insights from Tourism Australia and Visit Victoria to identify growth opportunities.
- Manage the tourism budget effectively and report on ROI.
Experience & Expertise
- Proven experience in both international and domestic tourism or destination marketing.
- Strong ability to build and manage partnerships, alliances, and networks.
- Existing network of travel and tourism industry contacts (highly regarded).
Knowledge & Skills
- Deep understanding of the tourism industry, distribution systems, and commercial practices.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to assess data and identify opportunities.
- Ability to work autonomously while collaborating across teams.
