About the role

We are looking for a dedicated and resilient Medical Receptionist to join our dynamic team at MyHealth Urgent Care Centre. This is a fast-paced, patient-focused role where your ability to stay calm under pressure and manage competing priorities will make a real difference.

This position is part-time, with fixed hours:

Monday to Thursday, 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM

You must be available for all listed shifts.

What you'll be doing

  • Scheduling and managing patient appointments efficiently
  • Handling patient enquiries, both in person and over the phone, with professionalism and empathy
  • Collaborating with the clinical team to ensure a seamless patient experience
  • Welcoming patients in a fast-moving urgent care environment
  • Managing a high volume of appointments and walk-ins efficiently
  • Supporting clinicians and nursing staff with administrative needs
  • Helping ensure a smooth and safe patient flow throughout the centre

What we're looking for

Essential:

  • Full Australian working rights
  • Availability: Mon–Thurs, 2pm–10pm
  • A genuine interest in the healthcare sector and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Keen attention to detail and
  • Ability to work under pressure and resolve issues efficiently

Preferred: 

  • Experience in urgent care, general practice, or other high-pressure healthcare settings
  • Proficiency in using medical practice management software and other relevant computer applications
  • Customer service experience in a clinical or fast-paced environmentWhat we offer
