The Role

As a Support Worker with Lanara, you will provide person-centred care in both residential and community settings. You'll be working closely with individuals living with mental health and/or physical conditions to support their daily needs, goals, and overall well-being.

Responsibilities include:

  • Support clients with day-to-day activities such as community access, grocery shopping, and developing organisational skills
  • Assist clients with attending appointments, programs, or community events
  • Encourage and support clients to pursue personal goals and build greater independence
  • Building respectful, trusting relationships that foster emotional and social well-being
  • Maintain clear documentation and ensure open, professional communication with the broader support team
  • Provide personal care assistance – Optional

About You

  • Is reliable, respectful, empathetic, and a strong communicator with excellent listening skills
  • Can work both independently and as part of a team, and is adaptable to the unique and changing needs of each client

Requirements:

  • A degree in Psychology or equivalent (or currently studying)
  • A current Police Check which is no older than 3 months
  • Working With Children Check – optional
  • Valid Australian driver's licence and access to a vehicle is essential
  • Experience is welcomed but not required – training and support are provided
  • Applicants with qualifications in Health Care and Social Assistance are welcome to apply
