Support Worker – Lanara, Sydney Wide

The Role
As a Support Worker with Lanara, you will provide person-centred care in both residential and community settings. You'll be working closely with individuals living with mental health and/or physical conditions to support their daily needs, goals, and overall well-being.
Responsibilities include:
- Support clients with day-to-day activities such as community access, grocery shopping, and developing organisational skills
- Assist clients with attending appointments, programs, or community events
- Encourage and support clients to pursue personal goals and build greater independence
- Building respectful, trusting relationships that foster emotional and social well-being
- Maintain clear documentation and ensure open, professional communication with the broader support team
- Provide personal care assistance – Optional
About You

- Is reliable, respectful, empathetic, and a strong communicator with excellent listening skills
- Can work both independently and as part of a team, and is adaptable to the unique and changing needs of each client
Requirements:
- A degree in Psychology or equivalent (or currently studying)
- A current Police Check which is no older than 3 months
- Working With Children Check – optional
- Valid Australian driver's licence and access to a vehicle is essential
- Experience is welcomed but not required – training and support are provided
- Applicants with qualifications in Health Care and Social Assistance are welcome to apply
