What you'll be doing

Western Sydney Local Health District Mental Health Services seeks a dedicated clinician to deliver recovery-oriented care for people with severe and persistent mental illness.

• Provide triage, assessment and care co-ordination
• Deliver individual, family and psychological interventions
• Collaborate with carers, GPs, NGOs and health services
• Advocate for consumers' rights and wellbeing
• Contribute to quality improvement and service development

Essential Requirements:

Qualification: Relevant tertiary qualifications as a Psychologist, Occupational Therapist or Social Worker.

Registration: Demonstrated full registration with AHPRA as a Psychologist, or Occupational Therapist OR for Social Workers, eligibility to be a member of the AASW

Selection Criteria:

• Demonstrated skills in mental health and discipline specific assessments and interventions and experience working with people with severe and persistent mental illness.
• Demonstrated understanding and ability to work within experience working in a team and/or knowledge of the principles that guide service delivery within this model of practice
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate meaningfully with consumers and carers with a commitment and understanding of recovery principles in mental health service provision.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of NSW Mental Health Act, 2007.
• Demonstrated excellent communication skills including verbal, written, and good interpersonal skills.
• Computer competence and literacy including the use of database systems.
• Current Drivers Licence valid within Australia
