As a Senior level
Business Development Manager
, you will play a critical role in scaling their new business sales. You will identify key stakeholders, initiate conversations, and run value-based sales processes aligned to a consultative & solutions based selling strategy.
Our client has been growing steadily over the years and have recently begun a growth trajectory to increase the size of the sales team, due to the huge potential and untapped market which their software solution can easily be sold into.
This role would suit a
Business Development Manager

Role responsibilities
- Engage in new business consultative selling with longer sales cycles, specifically within the enterprise asset-intensive industries / verticals
 - You will be responsible for winning new business & expanding within these customers based on a
land & expand approach - You will need to build sales pipeline off your own back and deepen the relationships across key mining clients
 - Own a defined list of prequalified target accounts & hunt new business within these
 - Identify and engage site-level / operational stakeholders (e.g., Maintenance Managers, Superintendents, Planners) and C-level stakeholders
 - Qualify opportunities, conduct discovery, and tailor value propositions to specific pain points
 - Prepare tailored proposals, commercial models, and deal justifications
 - Use structured sales methodologies (e.g.
Solution Sales, Consultative sales
) to manage complex deals - Lead sales processes from first contact through to contract execution and handover to Delivery
 - Work with Pre-sales to deliver demos, trials, or proof-of-concept pilots
 - Leverage early success to engage group-level stakeholders (You will be dealing with multi-stakeholder customers)
 - Expand product footprint across departments, sites, and modules
 - Work with Marketing to tailor and utilise vertical-specific content
 - Collaborate with Pre-sales, SDRs, and Delivery to ensure smooth and timely sales cycles
 
Your key attributes & experience needed to apply for this role
- Over 6 + years of B2B sales, specifically selling Saas or technology (IT) solutions into the enterprise market
 - Proven experience selling a Saas OR technology solution that is sold through a consultative & solutions-based sales approach
 - Proven experience dealing with long sales cycles (6 month +)
 - Proven experience selling to enterprise customers, meaning large logos
 - Demonstrated success in
consultative / solution sales & knowledge in these selling methodologies - Strong discovery and presentation skills, with experience leading
multi-stakeholder deals - Grit, curiosity, and an interest in learning new things
 - Good problem-solving ability, comfortable working with
technical business process concepts
and long-cycle sales - Empathy and ability to engage confidently with
operational and technical client stakeholders, it is important that you have experience speaking with all levels of stakeholders, from technical to non-technical - Coachability
to enable constant improvements in the value you can bring our clients - Ability to travel regularly interstate to see customers, costs all covered by the business

 - Enterprise solution selling, not transactional sales
 - The sales team has a dedicated SDR who will do a lot of the heavy lifting in regards to opening the door and cold calling
 - The business has experienced rapid growth with the team scaling from 10 people to almost 40 within a short period of time
 - The business has a 7-year reputation in the market & is currently working with a number of large blue-chip customers spread across the private & public sector, very easy logos to name drop
 - Career progression is guaranteed as the business has definitive plans to grow the team & structure the team around this growth heading into the future, the plan is to double the size of the sales team within the next 12-24 months
 - Uncapped commission structure & full support from the business so you will be completely set-up for success, you will have direct access to the head of growth & a structured on-boarding & ramp up period so that you will be able to hit your targets with ease
 - Flexible work environment & the opportunity to work hybrid once on-boarding is complete
 - Wide-open addressable market that has already been pre-defined by the business
 - Almost all tenders have been won due to the solution solving a massive pain-point for there customers, and there being minimal to no other solution offered in the market that offers the same level of value
