Senior Business Development Manager

Are you a broker-savvy business development professional with a strong network and deep expertise in Trade Finance and secured lending? Fifo Capital is looking for a Senior Business Development Manager to join our growing team, focused on expanding our broker channel across Queensland.
This is a remote role with regular travel required to meet brokers and partners face-to-face. You'll be instrumental in driving growth by activating your network, building new relationships, and ensuring brokers are equipped to deliver Fifo Capital's flexible funding solutions to their SME clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Broker Relationship Management:
Leverage and grow your broker network across Queensland, ensuring strong engagement and consistent deal flow. - Partner Enablement:
Provide training and ongoing support to brokers, helping them understand and position Fifo Capital's Trade Finance, Invoice Finance, and Business Loan solutions. - Business Development:
Identify and convert new opportunities through broker referrals and direct SME engagement. - Market Awareness

Stay informed about industry trends, SME financing needs, and competitor activities to refine engagement strategies. - Travel & Territory Management:
Travel regularly to meet with brokers and partners, building trust and driving regional growth. - Strategic Partnerships:
Develop and maintain partnerships that enhance our market presence and create new revenue streams. - Credit & Financial Analysis:
"Demonstrate a deep understanding of credit risk, financial data analysis, and SME financial health, including the ability to interpret balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements. Effectively communicate credit requirements to brokers to support deal qualification and structuring. - CRM & Pipeline Management:
Use HubSpot to manage pipelines, track performance, and report on activity.

You're a self-starter with a commercial mindset and a passion for helping brokers and SMEs succeed. You thrive in a remote environment, are comfortable on the road, and bring a strong understanding of the alternative finance landscape.
Your Background & Skills
- Industry Knowledge
: Strong understanding of cashflow lending, trade finance, and SME funding solutions. - Sales & Business Development Experience
: Demonstrated success in a business development or relationship management role within financial services. - Broker Management
: Proven success in a broker-facing BDM or relationship management role, with an established network. - Strategic Thinking
: Ability to identify opportunities for business expansion through partnerships and new client acquisition. - CRM Proficiency
: Experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce or HubSpot to manage sales pipelines. - Communication & Negotiation
: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong negotiation and influencing abilities. - Self-Motivation & Initiative
: A proactive approach with the ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative national team. - Results-Driven
: A commitment to achieving and exceeding targets, with a strong focus on client satisfaction and retention.
