
Warranty and Contract Manager

We are currently seeking a Warranty and Contract Manager to act as technical and management support at a Depot reporting to the RS General Manager.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- In conjunction with the General Manager, implement and manage processes, systems and timeframes which are in line with CAF Headquarters' policies and procedures and also account for AU requirements/restrictions, both legislative and operational
- Providing technical support and advice liaising with the Headquarters in Spain and locally with direct reports.
- Compiling reports based on contractual requirements as needed.
- Definition and organization of groups and work shifts.
- Supervision of other staff as required.
- Analysis of breakdowns and incidents in service.
- Generation of technical documentation (WCR).
- Permanent contact with suppliers and other CAF departments (Management, Quality, TO, etc.).
- Respond to the client in everything related to warranty activities.
- Achieve the reliability figures and KPI-s stablished for the project.
- Manage the store and stock level.
- Attending meetings with the client in order to discuss the reliability figures (SAF), KPI-s of the project, modification request or others as required.
- Flexibility to work non-standard hours.
- At times carrying out a hands on work on the Depot.
- General duties as directed by General Manager.
- Management of direct reports and overall responsibility for the successful management of these functions.
- Ensure effective and frequent communication with CAF Headquarters. This includes updates on key milestones, delays and challenges.
- Responsible for building and maintaining or delegation of responsibility for relationships with all stakeholders.
- Actively participate in promoting health and safety in the workplace and encouraging others to do the same. Take part in health and safety initiatives, such as workplace inspections, hazard identification and others as required.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with all Australian health and safety, quality and environmental legislative requirements.
- Ensure all work is carried out in a safe manner in line with Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality consciousness. Advise management of any changes in materials, plant or processes which may impact on safety, quality or the environment, as well as any improvements that could advance CAF's quality and environmental performance.
PROFILE
Education: Higher Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering Qualification essential.
Skills and experience:
- 5 +Previous work experience in a similar role or equivalent.
- Knowledge and application of train manufacture and maintenance activities .
- Excellent people management skills.
- Reading and understanding mechanical & electrical drawings, and understanding of Spanish would be advantageous.
- Ability to complete all records of actions and operations accurately and to procedures.
- Strong communication, planning and organisational skills.
