Brisbane, Queensland, Australia Aquatec Full time $104,000 - $130,878 per year

Aquatec is Australia's leading advisor and innovator in water, wastewater, and odour management solutions.

We're more than a company — we're a catalyst for positive change in the water industry.

With over 30 years of local and international experience, we design, build, and deliver end-to-end solutions across a wide range of environmental sewerage and water infrastructure systems. Our projects span large-scale developments, councils, water authorities, developers, and a strong network of retail and channel partners.

At Aquatec, we're passionate about collaboration, innovation, and excellence. Our people are at the heart of our success, and we're proud to offer a culture that fosters both professional and personal growth.

We partner with government, business, and residential clients to tackle the water challenges our communities face — today and into the future. As a recognised leader in water infrastructure, we're committed to delivering long-term, sustainable solutions that improve both infrastructure and the quality of life for communities everywhere.

Join us and be part of a team that's reshaping the future of the water industry.

The Role:

As a Site Supervisor in Queensland, you'll play a hands-on role leading the delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects across the region. This is a high-impact role where you'll oversee daily site operations, ensuring projects are built safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

You'll coordinate crews, subcontractors and suppliers while being the key on-the-ground link between project management and our clients. From pump stations and pipelaying through to civil and mechanical installations, you'll be driving delivery outcomes that directly benefit the communities we serve.

Key responsibilities include, but aren't limited to:

  • Lead internal and external construction teams onsite, ensuring compliance with Aquatec's standards for quality, HSE and project requirements
  • Maintain proactive communication with Aquatec's Project Manager and team, ensuring timely and accurate site updates.
  • Manage construction timelines in line with project programs, escalate deviations early and propose strategies to recover or accelerate works.
  • Provide hands-on support and technical supervision to field teams to resolve issues throughout each installation phase.
  • Monitor quality assurance processes, including ITPs, NCRs and hold points, to prevent rework and defects.
  • Apply strong attention to detail and forward thinking to identify and address foreseeable issues before they arise.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to manage site resources and budgets, identifying efficiencies to deliver on time and within cost.
  • Oversee QA processes onsite, complete documentation accurately and ensure zero rework.
  • Provide daily progress updates via Aquatec's project management software.

About you:

You're a hands-on, proactive leader who thrives in dynamic site environments. You take ownership of outcomes, uphold high standards and enjoy working in a team that values safety, quality and collaboration.

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

  • Proven experience (5+ years) in civil and/or mechanical construction, ideally in water infrastructure projects such as pipelines, pump stations, treatment plants, or odour control systems
  • A strong mechanical aptitude, capable of confidently working with power tools, mechanical installations and understanding how things are built and commissioned in the field
  • Site supervision or leading hand experience, with the ability to coordinate and motivate subcontractors, technicians and labourers to achieve safe and efficient delivery
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret technical drawings, QA documentation and project specifications.
  • Experience interpreting technical drawings, scopes of work and specifications, with confidence making onsite decisions and escalating where needed
  • A safety-first mindset, consistently applying WHS principles and leading toolbox talks, risk assessments and hold-point inspections
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to engage effectively with clients, engineers, subcontractors and internal project stakeholders
  • Forward-thinking and resourceful, able to identify risks early, solve problems under pressure and keep the job moving
  • Experience in pipelaying, trenching, or underground services will be highly regarded
  • Adaptability and flexibility to work away from home (Monday to Friday) across QLD and at times, interstate, as required for project delivery
  • A positive, can-do attitude and a commitment to representing Aquatec's values on every site you lead

This role provides excellent potential for career growth and development as our business continues to expand, so if this sounds like you please send a covering letter and resume addressing the Key Selection Criteria.
