It means fusing art and science to design, build, and continuously shape these moments into memorable experiences and personal, meaningful relationships The role: As our next Senior Experience Designer at Merkle, you will be tasked with developing experience strategies and visions which clearly support valuable outcomes for Merkle's clients and their customers We are looking for someone who loves working with designers, analysts, strategists, developers and directly with clients to help them to bring amazing ideas to life. You'll also be constantly learning about new techniques and approaches that we can bring to our clients Core responsibilities:
  • Lead the delivery of world-class work and bring excellent experiences to life
  • Excellent demonstrable understanding of how to apply design fundamentals including typography, colour theory, layout, foundations, motion and accessibility to their designs
  • Conducting research and exploration to develop compelling insights, translating findings into clear design rationale
  • Works closely with cross-functional teams to design the best digital experiences possible
  • Develop your design skills on-the-job and support the growth of the team
  • Work with a variety of brands to explore, extend and improve their customer experiences.
  • Constantly exploring new design tools, ways of working and methods to deliver exceptional design outcomes
A bit about you:
  • Demonstrated ability to lead the process of developing big ideas and designing complex interactions – 6yrs experience
  • Significant experience conducting research and translating findings into design rationale
  • Ability to interpret and challenge briefs and to produce work on budget and schedule
  • Experience in leading collaborative design workshops with clients
  • Expert level knowledge designing in modern design tools e.g., Figma, ProtoPie, Adobe XD
  • Demonstrated storytelling and presentation skills
  • Confident designing in a range of iterative approaches e.g., Agile, Lean, Design Sprints etc. approaches
  • Stakeholder management, facilitation, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong collaborator across creative, technology and strategy teams
