Traffic Engineer – QLD

Due to continued growth across Australia, Georgiou is seeking a traffic Engineer relevant tertiary qualifications and experience to join our civil engineering team.

What you're good at:

You're focused, driven and a team player with a commitment to excellence, someone with:

  • 3-7 years' experience with construction project work ideally in traffic management
  • Demonstrated exposure in planning of project traffic staging to ensure works are completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with client requirements.
  • Have TMR open Traffic Management Designer accreditation
  • RPEQ and Road Safety Auditor is highly regarded but not necessary, we can provide training and upskilling in this area if needed
  • Autocad / 12D design review or development experience favourable
  • Proven experience as a Nominated Traffic Officer is highly regarded

What you'll do (but not limited to):

  • Develop and negotiate project Traffic Management Plans
  • Assist pre-contracts tendering team during planning and documentation development for tender submissions
  • Regularly monitoring traffic flow to ensure compliance with the Contract and inspections of traffic control measures effectiveness
  • Identifying traffic risks and provide recommendations for improvement
  • Auditing and regular reporting on any traffic related matters and measures
  • Facilitate consultations with local business and residents on traffic matters
  • Liaise with the client, other authorities and relevant parties on traffic management matters for the site
  • Assist in review and development of traffic staging plans at commencement and during project delivery
