The Role 

We are looking for an accomplished Senior Risk Enablement professional to own, embed and optimise our governance, risk, and compliance frameworks and systems. You will play a key role in enabling the business to effectively manage risk by enhancing risk capability, and strengthening risk culture.

Through strategic oversight and collaboration, the Senior Manager, Risk Enablement will support the ongoing maturity of risk management across NGS Super, ensuring it is well-integrated, forward-looking, and aligned with regulatory expectations.

The role will also act as a delegate for the Chief Risk Officer for matters relating to governance, assurance and resilience

What you'll do

  • Lead and develop a team of dedicated Risk Management professionals.
  • Oversee and coordinate internal audit activities and follow-up actions.
  • Manage and maintain the GROVAR framework/system for risk oversight.
  • Lead policy reviews to ensure alignment with regulatory and organisational standards.
  • Drive business continuity management planning and testing.
  • Conduct capability assessments to identify and address risk management gaps.
  • Manage regulatory change and lead implementation projects, ensuring timely and effective adoption.
  • Oversee conduct risk frameworks and initiatives to uphold ethical standards.
  • Develop and deliver risk training and awareness programs across the organisation. 
  • Champion a strong risk culture through engagement and leadership.
  • Drive risk maturity initiatives to enhance organisational risk capability.

About you 

A Senior Financial Services Risk and Compliance professional, you will bring extensive experience in the following:

  • Financial services, superannuation or funds management including licensing, administration, financial products and investments.
  • Working in Australian regulatory practices and building and maintaining frameworks to support regulated financial services products.
  • Leading transformation and embedment of risk and compliance frameworks, particularly in superannuation.
  • Strong understanding of business continuity management and operational resilience practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple and complex stakeholders, with solid communication, negotiation and influencing skills. 
  • Effective leadership skills to mentor and coach cross functional team members.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing reports for senior management and committees.

The following skills are nice to have but not essential:

  • Tertiary qualification graduate or postgraduate in a relevant discipline and/or a professional certification
  • Recognised professional certification/accreditation (e.g. CPA, CA, CFA, RMIA, or equivalent).
