About the role
Western NSW Local Health District is seeking a dynamic and highly motivated individual to lead our Data Analytics Team within the Strategic Reform, Planning & Partnerships Directorate. The Senior Performance Analyst reports to the Manager of Performance & Analytics and is responsible formanaging, mentoring and supporting a team of three subject matter experts who are responsible for performance reporting and in-depth data analysis of health data. The role requires knowledge of data collections, health performance metrics and current knowledge of relevant privacy and health information legislation, data governance and other relevant policies and guidelines with respect to data collections and release.
We are looking for someone with strong analytical and critical thinking skills, an ability to conduct complex data analysis and reporting to support performance monitoring along with an ability to lead and contribute to strategic discussions in relation to the provision of data that can support the improvement of service delivery. An ability to communicate insights effectively to diverse stakeholders so they can understand the data and its impact on healthcare performance will be a key to success in this role.

Location for the position is preferably within Western NSW Local Health District, however hybrid options within the state would be considered for the right candidate.
