Now, with our own Brisbane facility, we're expanding rapidly across Queensland and New South Wales. We are looking for a highly motivated Business Development Manager (BDM) to bring Australian-made power solutions to more businesses and communities.

Your Role: Expanding Australian-Made Energy Solutions

As BDM – QLD & NSW, you'll be at the forefront of Magellan's expansion, ensuring more businesses and industries benefit from Australian-made, high-quality, and reliable energy solutions.

What You'll Be Doing

Lead Business Growth & Market Expansion

  • Spearhead the expansion of Magellan's UPS, energy storage, and 4R battery lifecycle solutions in Queensland & NSW.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to increase market share and drive revenue growth.
  • Promote the value of Australian-manufactured energy solutions to industries looking for reliability and long-term performance.
  • Target mining, utilities, transport, oil & gas, defence, and renewables—key sectors critical to Australia's future.

Build Strong Industry Partnerships

  • Develop long-term relationships with end-users, consultants, EPCs, and government agencies.
  • Position Magellan as the preferred provider of Australian-made UPS and battery storage solutions.
  • Drive sustainability conversations by highlighting Magellan's 4R initiative (Repair, Refurbish, Repurpose, Recycle).

Manage Large-Scale Projects & Accounts

  • Work closely with our engineering and operations teams to develop tailored solutions.
  • Drive complex technical sales from lead generation to project completion.
  • Maintain strong relationships, ensuring repeat business and industry trust.

Be a Voice for Australian Manufacturing & Innovation

  • Represent Magellan at industry events, trade shows, and networking forums.
  • Stay ahead of market trends, competitor activities, and policy developments.
  • Advocate for locally designed and built solutions that support Australia's energy independence.

A Proven Sales & Business Development Leader – You know how to win deals and drive market expansion in energy storage, UPS, or power solutions.

Passionate About Selling Australian-Made – You take pride in offering locally designed, high-quality solutions that outperform imports.

A Strong Relationship Builder – You can influence decision-makers in mining, utilities, oil & gas, transport, and defense.

Technically & Commercially Savvy – You understand AC & DC UPS, battery storage, and microgrid solutions (or can learn quickly).

Results-Driven & Ambitious – You love a challenge, can develop and close large-scale projects, and want to be part of a company on the rise.
