About the role

We're looking for a Senior Fullstack Engineer to help build and scale the next generation of iseekplant, Australia's largest online construction marketplace.

You'll be working across a modern service-oriented Laravel application using the RILT stack (React, Inertia, Laravel, Tailwind). Our platform is fully cloud-based on AWS and deployed serverlessly through Laravel Vapor, Lambda, and ECS Fargate.

This is a hands-on role where you'll build new features, mentor other engineers, and work directly with stakeholders to ship great software that makes a real impact in the industry. You will help us build a state of the art agentic procurement platform, shaping how construction projects source and manage equipment and services.

What you'll do

  • Design, develop, and maintain features across the full stack (Laravel + React)
  • Write clean, testable code using PHPUnit and Vitest
  • Collaborate with designers, engineers, and product managers to deliver user-focused solutions
  • Help guide architectural decisions and contribute to technical direction
  • Mentor junior developers and share knowledge across the team
  • Work closely with our platform engineer on AWS integrations and infrastructure (Terraform, Vapor)

What we're looking for

Must have:

  • 5+ years experience in a senior fullstack engineering role
  • Experience with Laravel (or another modern PHP framework)
  • Experience with React and TailwindCSS
  • Exposure to Test Driven Development (TDD)
  • Strong understanding of modern software architecture and APIs
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, product-focused environment

Nice to have:

  • Experience with AI workflows or LLM-based tools
  • Experience with HTTP streaming or WebSockets
  • Experience with programmable telephony (Twilio)
  • Exposure to voice agent development using frameworks like PrismPHP, LiveKit, ElevenLabs, AWS Bedrock, or Google Gemini
