We are looking for a Senior Civil Engineer to join our growing Brisbane office which is located in Fortitude Valley. You will be part of a collaborative, experienced team delivering a diverse portfolio of projects, from subdivisions and car parks to commercial, high-rise, education, industrial, and sporting developments.

The role

As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in delivering practical, future-focused engineering solutions across a diverse project landscape. From early concept through to construction completion, you will lead design delivery, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and shape real-world outcomes that enhance the built environment.

This is a dynamic role where no two days are the same – blending technical challenge, project leadership, client engagement and mentorship.

In this role, you will:

• Take ownership of civil engineering projects from feasibility to final delivery
• Prepare Civil DA reports and stormwater management plans that balance innovation with compliance
• Design a variety of infrastructure elements including roads, intersections, pavements, earthworks, and drainage systems
• Oversee construction phase activities including site inspections, contractor coordination, and contract administration
• Lead the development of high-quality tender and construction documentation
• Coordinate across internal disciplines and external consultants to deliver fully integrated outcomes
• Manage project budgets and ensure alignment with quality, safety, and performance standards

You will also:

• Conduct site investigations and technical assessments to shape project strategy
• Review and sign off on design documentation prior to council or authority lodgement
• Act as a key liaison with architects, developers, contractors, and regulatory bodies
• Influence design reviews, risk workshops, and strategic project planning
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of systems, templates, and workflows
• Mentor and support junior engineers to grow technical depth and confidence

About you

We are looking for an experienced, technically strong and well-rounded engineer with a passion for quality and teamwork.

You will have:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (essential)
• 10+ years of experience in civil engineering design and consultancy
• Strong capability in stormwater, flood modelling, and pavement design
• Working knowledge of 12D, AutoCAD, DRAINS, MUSIC, XPStorm (not essential)
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Proven ability to manage projects, stakeholders, and timelines
• Solid knowledge of Australian Standards, planning frameworks, and engineering codes
• Leadership skills with the ability to mentor and work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
• RPEQ registration (or eligibility)
• Must have Australian work rights
• Business development and client liaison experience (advantageous)
• Experience with Queensland based projects will be highly regarded
