About the role

We're seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our energetic and collaborative team. In this key role, you'll lead diverse projects, work closely with multi-disciplinary teams, and help shape innovative engineering solutions across Queensland.

This position is ideal for a professional with 10+ years of experience who's ready to take their career to the next level in a supportive, growth-focused environment. You'll enjoy a dynamic mix of technical problem-solving, project leadership, client interaction, and mentoring with no two days ever quite the same.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Design Leadership: Oversee mechanical HVAC design and documentation, ensuring precision and performance across complex projects.
• Strategic Insight: Provide life-cycle assessments of existing systems, recommend upgrades, and present tailored options to clients.
• On-Site Collaboration: Attend inspections and work closely with contractors to ensure seamless implementation of your designs.
• Client Engagement: Build strong relationships, manage expectations, and deliver projects that exceed client goals.
• Team Leadership: Step into a senior position where you'll guide a talented team, mentor junior engineers, and help shape the future of our Brisbane office.
• Project Ownership: Front projects with confidence, guiding multidisciplinary teams and driving outcomes from concept to completion.

About you

• A degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
• 10+ years of hands-on experience in building services consultancy
• Exceptional client-facing skills and stakeholder engagement
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities
• Familiarity with tools like BlueBeam, REVIT, and Camel (a plus, not a must)
• A proactive mindset and a positive, can-do attitude
• High-level initiative and creative problem-solving capabilities
• Proven track record in managing projects, timelines, and multidisciplinary teams
• Solid understanding of Australian Standards, planning frameworks, and engineering codes
• Leadership qualities with a passion for mentoring and collaboration
• RPEQ registration (or eligibility)
• Is an Australian citizen or permanent resident
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team
